Who is responsible?
Clinton Roberts, trading as TrueSouthTech, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@truesouthtech.co.uk. TrueSouthTech is a mobile service based in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, with no public shop or drop-off location.
What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry, you provide your name, email address, town or postcode and the details you choose to include. Clint uses these to respond, assess whether he can help and prepare a quote. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract. Basic technical information, including IP addresses and service logs, may be processed by our providers to operate and protect their services; our interest is running a reliable, secure website.
Please do not submit passwords, security codes, banking details or unnecessary information about other people. We do not use enquiries for marketing lists.
Where your information goes
The enquiry form uses FormSubmit to process and email your submission. Namecheap forwards business email to Clint’s Google-hosted inbox. These providers process the information needed to deliver and store messages. The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare.
Maps use OpenStreetMap. Checking a full postcode sends that postcode to Postcodes.io to find its approximate location. Your home address is not requested by the checker. External fonts and map software are loaded from Google Fonts and unpkg, which receive connection information such as your IP address. Providers may process data outside the UK; their own privacy notices describe their processing. Contact Clint if you need further information about a provider or an international transfer.
How long information is kept
Clint deletes enquiries that do not lead to paid work within six months of the last contact. FormSubmit states that it retains submissions for 30 days. If you become a customer, relevant correspondence and job records may need to be kept longer to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet accounting obligations. Clint will explain the applicable retention arrangements when arranging the work.
The guide, cookies and automated decisions
The service guide runs in your browser. Its conversation is not sent to Clint unless you choose to include it in a submitted enquiry. Guide prices and coverage results are suggestions, not automated booking decisions: Clint confirms the service, availability and price.
We have not added advertising or analytics trackers. External services may process technical information and use their own security mechanisms. The enquiry form can use FormSubmit’s anti-spam checks. This notice does not describe third-party websites you visit through links.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or request portability where applicable. These rights depend on the circumstances. Contact hello@truesouthtech.co.uk; we may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
We will update this notice when our services or the way we handle information changes.
